Toffee has just returned from parading alongside lots of pipers in New York to celebrate Tartan Day.
The weather was typically Scottish, wet and misty, which made it very atmospheric. It was great fun walking down 6th Avenue in New York to the Scottish sounds of the pipers with the mist hovering over the tall skyscrapers.
Marghanita, who created Toffee, along with her husband, David introduced Toffee to a school
in Brooklyn, New York.
The American children had never seen a Highland cow before or heard of Toffee. First they had a storytelling time and then they all got to make mini models of Toffee. They were so enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed their Scottish experience. Their works of art can be seen in the Gallery.
(The models were made using a new product made by Eberhard Faber called Aquasoft, which the kids found really easy to work with and Marghanita would recommend it as its safe and cleans up easy, it even floats).
The trip was a great success and the American children made us feel very welcome and they just adored Toffee and her friends.
