The capercaillie is a huge bird (86cm tall) with a fan shaped tail.
The female capercaillie is smaller.
Capercaille's ideal home is a native pinewood, they eat berries,
leaves and stems of blaeberry.
In winter they eat Scots pine needles and cones.
The number of capercaillie in Scotland is in decline.
